:) :) :) Hello To All, I Will Be I Year Of My Surgery And Things Have Improved Great.it Takes A While For The Recovery Period And You Think When Will It End But Just Keep Praying And You Will See Things Work Out, At Least For Me They Did. I Was In So Much Pain I Felt Like Cutting My Arm And Shoulder Off. Once I Had The Surgery I Was Still In Pain And Thought , "what Did I Do This For?"but With Time I Have Felt Alot Better So Don't Give Up Just Give It Time.
To All That Have Had This Surgery Good Luck , Take Care And Remember It Takes Time And You Will See The Pain Does Go Away. Hope You Have A Doctor Like I Did , That Tkes Time With You And Tells You Everything. Take Care

What a great help your posting is - "there is light at the end of the tunnel.! :) Although I am just five weeks postop from ACDF and PCDF 2 through 6 with plating, I think I have expected too much and am now learning to be more patient with the healing process. I continue to feel better every day although still have a lot of pain in my shoulders and also muscle spasms. I try to keep busy doing things that don't aggravate the pain and have found thata keeping occupied keeps my mind off the discomfort. I am in really good health for a 74 year old and try to eat right and exercise by walking as much as possible, and also to rest when my body tells me to. I guess just counting my blessings (a wonderful supportive family and friends) and the fact that this will get better with time helps as much as anything.

THanks for lifting my spirits today!
