Hi everyone,
Id just like to say that reading someone else's problems seems to take your mind off your own, even if just for a while!

I have two very big lymph nodes which swell on the back of my head/neck and have had them since about the age of one, since having my tonsills out at the age of 15 they pop up more often. My doc said not to worry and just take pain relief and that it was my bodies way of fighting infection.

Until reading other stories I'd never thought of it as being a serious problem, now my views have changed and going to have to go back to my doctor.

I have the lumps at the moment and am in so much pain.

Thanks for sharing your stories

Actually, sore and/or painful lymph nodes are a rather good sign because they commonly reflect our bodies' reaction to an infection, as your doc says.

Lymphoma-like nodes are usually painless.

It does not sound like you got some "serious problem", yet even a minor infection shouldn't be neglected.
