I have been diagnosed with a Chronic Sinus Infection. I orginally posted under inner ear disorders because I thought I may have had something wrong there. But after my doctors visit yesterday I found that with the exception of some ear ringing they are fine.
I had been experiencing a feeling of unbalance. Not dizzyness in the fact that I felt like passing out, or the room was spinning, just feeling kinda of light headed and I could feel my heart pound in my forehead. I had no runny nose, no congestion, no coughing or sneezing. No typical signs of a sinus infection. A CAT scan revealed a chronic sinus infection I was put on Augmentin for 14 days. The unbalanced feeling would hit at different times for what appeared as no reason. I am feeling better today and have also started taking Allegra to dry up whatever appears to be in my head. Has anyone else out there with a chronic sinus infection had a similar experience? Didn't have the typical sinus infection symtoms but felt the unbalanced feeling with ringing ears?

hi. my son has chronic sinusitis. He doesn't have the runny nose but has drainage down his throat and only when his got really bad did he ever get dizzy from it. He usually has the ringing in his ears and pressure in his ears and a sore throat from all the drainage. He had to be on antibiotics for a little over four weeks to clear his up when we first found the problem. He has a GREAT ENT!
