As soon as a woman grows breasts it is possible for that tissue to develop cancer. I sincerely doubt that you have breast cancer however -- small bumps around the nipple are totally normal. Breast cancer lumps are under the skin and they feel hard usually. My lump was about 2cm long and almost as wide. It felt kind of like a rubber ball under the skin. Good for you that you're asking questions about it instead of just sitting and worrying! What you described sounds normal to me, but the best thing to do is to ask your Dr about it next time you see her. Lucky87531 05-14-2004, 11:28 AM Those bumps on your nipple you are asking about I think are some type of gland? A website said that they are sweat glands and sebaceous glands (which secrete an oily lubricating substance called sebum) Don't worry, those little bumps are completly normal. |
