I came up with:
Olde French word "clappoir" during the Middle Ages originally meaning "rabbit hole" then became the slang for "brothel or house of prostitution".
It was further changed to "clapoire" meaning "swelling of the groin", then to "clapoir" meaning "venereal sore".
If I come up with anything else, I'll post it -- interesting quest!
It's also known as "the dose" and "the drip"....but I'm sure you already know that.
Best to you in your studying.
