 I"ve been taking Zopiclone (Immovane) for a couple months. Recently went from 1/2 pill to full one. I'm menopausal and my memory has been sort of hit and miss but since upping the dose I literally do not remember what happened the night before. This is frightening. Is it common for this to happen or any ideas.

Stprdi,
You can R-E-L-A-X. And stopped being scared. It's not Alzheimers, which I'm sure was crossing your mind!
It's not you, it's the drug.
Zopiclone is a short-acting hypnotic agent, and as with all hypnotics, long-term continuous treatment is not recommended and a course of treatment should be no longer than 4 weeks in duration.
One of the biggest side effects which is also dose-related is anterograde amnesia of varying severity. Also prior to falling asleep or during interim periods of wakefulness, memory may be impaired.
Talk to your doctor about switching to a different drug.
Good luck,
zuzu xx
