i was just asked why i cant take celexa for ocd since, other than weight gain, i loved it!! well my doctor says its not for ocd!!! but from what ive read it is! does anyone had a straight answer? either way after pondering this for some time, i decided not to try ellexor but to take celexa again. i happen to still have 2 weeks worth on file from last time i was on them, so im gonna give it a go. then maybe see another doctor. he just seemed very addament that this pill is not really for ocd, but if it works im going to a different doctor. anyoe had luck with celexa and ocd?? now im paranoid that ill have a different reaction to it that i didnt have before, but one would think that not possible so im gonna try not to think about it....any advice?

well so far so good, i took my first celexa last night and although today i feel a little jittery and my head is a bit cloudy im ok! actually im glad my heads like this because now it wont seem to "Accept" the ocd thoughts...hope that made sense!:)

hey, glad to hear the celexa is working for you. I am currently on it for ocd and i wonder if it does work. more obsessional thoughts though in my case than compulsions. anyway, im on 60 mg. the depression has defintely gotten better and the thoughts more manageable, but its not easy. defintely not a cure all. also, i feel as though i have gained a little weight, and sexual probs sometimes come up. its not as easy as it was before. also, question to all, do you experience probs sleeping on celexa,? i dont have trouble falling asleep, but staying asleep.

well its day 5 and im exhausted!!! im tired allllllllll day long and it doesnt matter how long i sleep for. i did notice the staying asleep part too but i had had that few days prior to taking the med so it could just be that. i am tired though all day long, i dont remember it being this bad. but its not a huge bad side effect so im surviving. i wish the neasea would go away as well as the deep yawns and weird swallowing feeling but then again you take the good with the bad. it takes me a good 4 hrs though to fully wake up once i get out of bed which sucks but i am only on 20mg!! i dont even dare to think what would happen on a higher dose for me!! remember im the girl that gets high from regular tylenol!! im also i abit forgetful and i too dont act on my obssessions so much as obssess over my obssessions!! good luck to all will keep you update.
