Back in January I took Lortab(hydrocodone) for 2 weeks or so. After stopping usage, I started getting strange tension type headaches and muscle knots in my neck and shoulder. These have not gon away after muscle relaxers and physical therapy. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

What were you aking the lortab for?i don't think that you would be experiencing the WDs that can come after long term use, unless you were taking extremely high doses of it.but you could be very sensitive to it and therefore have "had"some slight WD symptoms but it sounds from what you have stated that the muscle problems are still a problem for you?i really need to know just what you were taking the lortab for.it sounds like this is possibly more related to something other than the lortab here.i don't really think that lortab would have that type of effect on you. It was for pain from chronic epididymitis. This was 5 months ago and the muscle problems & fatigue have not gone away. I've had several blood tests & a MRi on thursday to rule out anything else. I also have depression, which may have something to do with it all. Sorry , so many variables.

Epididymitis is an infection of the epididymis which is the tube that carries sperm to the penis. The most common infections are from STD's, but mine is a chronic form that seems to be caused by a tough to find bacteria. I have been on antibiotics 6 times for it already in the past year. It causes severe to moderate pain in the abdomen, groin, and testicles, and symptoms can last for months. It's really frustrating because I've never had an STD and GOt married right before all this happened. It's like I can't get rid of it , but I can't enjoy my life either, as we are in our mid 20's, no kids, and very active. The Lortab was a saving grace for a while, until I stopped taking it.

Maybe you should ask your doctor to refill your Lortab and see if the pain stops. If you need to take something for pain you deserve to have pain releif. You were not abusing it - so just talk to him. There may be some other medications available to help also.

Good luck!
