Ok so I am 18 and I just went to my doctor to have a female exam. My doctor found a cyst in my left breast and what she thought could be cancer in my right ovary...I took an ultrasound and CT scan and now I am just waiting for the results. Won't get them back for like a week...I am probably worrying for nothing but when you are 18 and you just had your first female exam and they tell you it is a possibility you may have cancer in my breast and ovary..it's a little scary!! I don't know what I am looking for on this board I guess I just needed to get it all out because I just moved and don't really have any friends near by and my boyfriend's mom died of breast cancer and I don't want to freak him out if I don't have to. Anyway thanks for letting me ramble on! :wave:

What you're going through is really scary, but you're not alone! Hopefully, all your tests will come back negative.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 25. I'm 27 now and in full remission:) If you don't mind, pls post your test results -- I'll be thinking about you.

The only adivce I can offer at this point is to try not to think about it too much, b/c worrying doesn't make test results come back faster. The other important thing that I think many people overlook is that cancer is NOT a death sentence. Say your tests come back positive...well, you'll have to go through lots of treatment, and you may feel like setting up a cot in the hospital, but most likely, you'll be fine!

One last thing...it sounds like your Dr is on top of things, but in the event that you ever hear the words "You're too young to have cancer" find a new Dr.

The ultra sound showed nothing but i still have a "huge mass" on my breast so i'm going to see a specialist..as for the ovarian cysts they r the ones that just come and go..whatever that means?!?! i denno im a little confused..anyone tell me what that means?
