hello, everyone,
my adult daughter has been diagnosed with bi polar 2. i am trying to learn more, but last week, in a conversation, she said she felt i was being brutal to her and she will not speak to me now. i asked her about her meds and when she took them; i told her of my concerns for her and was in no way mean or demeaning to her. she functions all week long in her profession but on friday,
every friday for the last three months, she falls into a depressive state, like clockwork. she takes her pills one right after another, and sleeps away the weekend. i am very worried that she "holds back the dam" all week long,
and then relies on meds to make her sleep all thru the weekend.
how can i reach thru to her? why would she feel i was being brutal to her?
can anyone explain so that i can be more supportive to her?
i have never been mean, much less brutal, but questioned her on her use of all these medications. help!
thanks,
starmom
