Does anyone out there suffer from Chiari ? My neurosurgeon just told me yesterday and showed me on the MRI where I have the protruding cerebellum tonsils... can anyone describe the pain? I am trying to figure out if that is really the cause of the pain I am suffering from...I suffer from head / neck pain constantly 24/7/365 and if I cough or sneeze or laugh or strain, it feels like the back of my head will explode...anyone out there know what I am talking about?

Hello,
I see where you have just entered that world of CHIARAI. It sucks. I have the sister to CHIRI it is called SM for short. All the problems are the same. I found mine after an accident while on duty. If there is anything that you would like to know post here and I wil be happy to help!!! I had surgery and Thank GOD am still walking but I suffer from Chronic pain and have to take all the meds.

What or how are they treating your condition ? In addition to the Chiari, I have 3 bulging cervical discs and am scheduled for an epidural injection next week to try and control some of the pain as I am not a surgical candidate at this time....right now I am in pain 24/7/365 the only thing that changes is the level of the intensity of the pain...
