I am not sure what kind of meds ppl are on and what kind of side effects to expect. My dr has put me on paxil and seroquel. I read the side effects stuff and am not sure what to expect. do either of these contain the speedlike ingredient in effexor and wellbutrin? I hope not because I had bad experiences with both. Any thoughts?

First I have a question.. You are Bi-polar right?....
If so I was on paxil and that was not, and I think most will agree that it is not the right med to be on for a BPer because it is an SSRI... WHich increases the level of saratonan levels which causes us BPer to have manic eps. And yes there are side effects but not all have them... so the "speed" effect you are talkin gabout is caused by the SSRI... Talk to your dr about this..

I think I was misdiagnosed with depression. I may be bipolar but I am not sure. I've taken a few different SSRI's and none have worked. That is why I think I was misdiagnosed. Ugh.
