I had a severe open bite and I had surgery in October to correct it. However, I am a mouth breather and a tongue thruster. They didn't correct those habits, I still do that. So do you think I will relapse? I also used to suck on my fingers at night but that I don't do anymore.

hello , you may won't to get an appt with an orthodontist to see if he can fix you an appliance to stop your bad habits these will cause relaps,

my braces are still on and I should be getting them off soon. i dont want to relapse though. also, i am starting to gain my old habit back of sucking on my fingers at night...

hi yea my braces are still on to after 42 months, if you realy think this is a big prob you should tell your ortho , i'm sure they will be able to help , i told my ortho last list it looked an felt different inside my mouth when my teeth are shut , he looked an said yep guess will need to to some expansion so i guess i'll be getting an expander this thursday, thats why your paying them tell them whats going on different that you can tell .
