My mom has been diagnosed with urticarial vasculitis. She kept breaking out in hives that were surrounded by a bruising/bleeding rash. Her doctor had put her on predinisone and it finally went away at 20 mg per day. He started weaning her off of it and it came back. Does anyone know of a different medication that will work for this. She'd really like to get off the steroids.
