View Full Version : Hello; just looking for some feedback

Coldsore
05-24-2004, 10:40 AM
I just wanted to say hello to everyone and that I would like to get some feedback. Let me first start out by saying I have fibromyalgia (FM) and no other health problems. However, my FM is under control. About 2-2 ½ months ago, I got sick for two days. I had a fever and I threw up. After vomiting, I felt 100% better, so I assumed I got food poisoning. Well, 2 days later I got a fever blister on my lower slip that lasted 21 days. It was a regular size cold sore. After my first cold sore healed, I got another 2 weeks later to the day. My second cold sore lasted exactly 1 week. Well, a week later, I got my third cold sore which is almost healed after 8 days. All of my cold sores have been normal in size. There has been one constant throughout my whole experience. On the corners of my mouth, little tiny white bumps have appeared and will burning periodically. You can not see the bumps unless you specifically look for them. I should note that the medication I take for my FM dries my mouth out. I went to the doctor and he told me to put hydrocortisone on the bumps. I have an appointment with a dermatologist next week. I have had cold sores in the past but never 3 so close together. This is just a guess, but I have a sneaky feeling that the white bumps are triggering the cold sores. The white bumps do not appear to be cold sores and my doctor agreed. I guess I am a little nervous that these cold sores are going to keep appearing regularly. If anyone has any comments, leads, etc., I would most appreciate any feed back. Thanks in advance!
