:bouncing:  Hi! I am searching for answers. I am 26 and was diagnosed with uterine cancer stage 3c last year. I've had 2 surgeries, one which included a radical hysterectomy and 11 wks radiation internal and extended field radiation external. I've also had 8 chemos. My last one was end of October 03. Lately I have been having pains at the secondary tumor site, which was connected to my pelvic sidewall. It feels just like before my tumors were found. Should I worry? Or could it be scar tissue? I wanted to get advice here, before I tell my doctor, because I know that'll send her into a flutter. Thanks for any advice.
Luv Nicole

Wow, you poor thing.. you are so young for uterine cancer. I was dx last year also with uterine cancer.. more specifically endometrial adenocarcinoma. We sisters in the land of hyster call what you are going through "cancer head". It's hard to avoid and harder still to get through the waiting while tests are being evaluated. To answer your question, yes.. it can reoccur, but more likely you are dealing with adhesions. Adhesions are almost impossible to avoid and difficult to try to treat since surgery is the only way to cut them away.. it then just generates more of them. Please call the doctor and get a scan. You'll be happier knowing that you had it checked out and if something is there, it's easier to take care of the sooner you find it. Good luck and keep us posted!!

Thanks for you response. Can you feel adhesions through the skin? the reason I'm asking is because I can feel a lump near the middle of my abdomen and also and the secondary tumor site. I go in on June 10th to my cancer doctor, but I just wanted advice before I tell her. Because, she basically does her job, and once I tell her, I know she'll run every test there is to run. Thanks again. Nicole

I Hope All Went Well With At Your Doctors....can You Tell Me More About Your Cancer How They Found It When You Were First Diagnosed. I Have Endometrium Lining Of 13.5 Mm (1 Week After My Cycle) And They Are Doing A Biopsy Tomorrow - But I Am Only 27 - I Thought Endometrial Cancer Was Usually Found In Older Women...if You Can Help That Would Be Great!!!!

Hi! I'll try to help you if I can. Mine was found when I was having alot of pain in my lower right pelvic area while trying to walk. It got to the point where I went to my doc and requested laproscopy, and he ordered ultrasound. Thats when they saw the mess. I then went in for removal of the secondary tumor that was attached to my pelvic sidewall (football sized), which they told me was 100% benign before the surgery. Well, after the biopsy, my cancer was diagnosed. And then went on to more surgery and lots and lots of treatments. I'm still under treatment now. Yes, it is very rare for young women (even in 40's) to get this cancer. This cancer usually occurrs in women in their 60's. My treatment facility asked me to be in a research program, which I am currently in. I don't know why it happened. But, its good to catch this cancer early, because then your overall survival rate is high. Mine was found at stage 3C, which is not too good. But I'm still alive and kickin. Please feel free to ask any questions. Good Luck. Take Care Nicole

I was 49 when diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer, stage 1A. I did not have a recurrence, but 8 years later colon cancer was found. Since then I have learned that Uterine Cancer puts a person at greater risk for Ovarian, Colon , and/or breast cancer. So if you have not had a screening colonoscopy yet please get one. I had no symptoms and my Stage 3 colon cancer was found during my first colonoscopy. Do not wait until age 50 for this. On the other Boards that I read and post, there are numerous people who developed colon cancer in their thirties and forties. Also keep up with yearly mammograms. Cancer is a wily beast that you have to remain ever alert for.

The last thing on earth I'd ever do to AVOID cancer is have mammograms. The RADS you get from those are tremendous. They were so high at first that the machines had to be changed to reduce the radiation doses they were putting out! My best friend died from breast cancer 2 years after having a "clear" mammogram. They produce false positives, false negatives plus they COMPRESS the breasts possibly causing any SAFELY ENCAPSULATED tumor to leave the capsule and SPREAD. Biggest crime against womanhood ever invented by men. Then , after you've had your mammograms and get cancer they feed you poisons to allegedly kill the cancer they've caused in the first place. Type in " mammogram radiation danger" in a search engine.
Do you see MEN getting their testicles compressed in a machine? Of course not.
