Just recently I have been suffering from anxiety(about 4 months). This is very debiltating in the sense that I worry about eveything there is possibly to worry about. My doctor currently prescribed me buspar but it seems not to be helping much. I use to take lexapro and that helped more but I discontiued it because of its sexual side effects. Is there another drug that may be good for me? Also has anyone expereinced high blood pressure while going through anxiety because I have been really worried about that lately. I am only 20 years old and I play college basketball so I am in great physical shape. My blood pressure has been kinda high recently and is begining to drive me insane.It was normal about 5 months ago. If anyone can help me I would greatly apperciate it.

I'm 20 also and know how u feel ok. I have had anxiety since I was 5 years old. I wouldn't worry too much about ur blood pressure for now, getting urself over the anxiety will sort that. I promise! :)
How long have u been on ur meds? You really need to give them chance to kick in, I'm on a new med and it has only been 2 weeks and my anxiety has increased a lot in that time, but the doctor tells me it usually gets worse before it gets better.
Give it a few more weeks, I know that seems like forever-we're in the same boat. And if u feel no better go back to your doctor ok. You can get thru this!

Yes...Try Celexa(Citalopram)...It has very few side effects...and I've had no sexual ones at all from it.I had to go back on cause my attacks came back..but I had great results with it last time I was on it.
