Well, I went for my first visit and this dentist is very nice.He listened to ALL my questions.. He was so surprised w/ all the questions I had and I told him I have been on a great board talking to alot of great people.. His plan for me is not dentures..He said I have 6 real good teeth on top and 2 or 3 on bottom so since I am nervous about dentist my first appt. he is going to bond my front tooth were a filling had come out and see how i do w/ that. Then the next appt he is going to extract one or two and if I can't handle it I will have to go to a dentist w/ sedation.. If i can he is going to pull the rest of the teeth on top and give me a partial and then pull all the bottom besides 2 and give me a partial... I don't know much about partials so does anyone have any advice... In one way I am glad that i get to keep some of my teeth and in another way I like the idea of dentures just because it is finished alot quicker... So I have 2 weeks or so before the bonding visit and then the next week will be the first extractions.. Thanks for all the help.. It really helped me prepare for yesterday just didn't know what to ask about the partials.. I can do that at the bonding appt..

Good for you! I am in the process of TRYING to find a dentist in my area that will understand my situation-not going in a while and no dental insurance. I think actually that is what is making me the most nervous-all the $$ this will be. We live paycheck to paycheck and dental work is not cheap! My self esteem is at an all time low!! Anyways, just wanted to say Congratualtions on your first step!! :)
