Hi, im actually writting this on behalf of my father. He has been having these weird anxiety like attacks. This has been going on for about a month now. We and the doctor thought it was due to his blood pressure issues that have been going on for a long time now. Finally the doc gave him some xanax to take. But these attack things only come on at night. He feels just wierd and light headedish during the day but it worsens at night. I was just wondering if the xanax is the best thing to take and what experiences people have had on it.

It's hard to say what's best for someone.
Not everyone is the same and not everything will work the same for everyone.
I took a VERY low dose of Xanax....1/2MG a day, I cut the pills in half and only took 1/4 MG at a time.
It worked great for me..but like I said everyone is different.

Somone on the panic disorders board just asked a question about Xanax, I typed more about my experiance with it on that board.

I tried a couple of different meds for antianxiety and have had great sucess with xanax. I to get anxiety attacks in the night and wake up with them. However, it can be very addicting and you will have withdrawals when you go off of it.
