Hello to everyone. I am hoping maybe some of you have heard of Cadasil and could maybe offer some information about it. My husband was diagnosed with it in March after a genetic blood test was done. He suffered a stroke 2 years ago and had none of the ususal reasons for having one which left his doctor puzzeled for some time, unlil he came across Cadasil. My husband has a wonderful neurologist, which we are very thankful for, but finding someone who has either been diagnosed with it or knows of someone who has would be very helpful. Cadasil symptoms are very similar to MS and can also cause migranes, strokes, tia's and general pain and fatigue. Since his diagnosis he was taken off of some of the medications, as they were doing him no good for stroke related problems because the Cadasil was causing them instead. It is a disease of the white matter and can sometimes be misdiagnosed as MS. Thanks in advance for any help.

farmwife,

My neuro wants to test me for CADASIL. So I just started researching it. It's good to read the info, but it's helpful to find someone with some personal insight.

I have been lurking on the Immune Disorder (my story is there on 6/30) or Lupus boards.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband! Sorry, I've got a bad headache, or I'd write more. Take care.

Health & Happiness-
