this has been the worst week ever. i've been on my period for three days while all of this has been happening. i can't even tell what is wrong. i've been so depressed. it just gets worse and i have no one to talk to. it feels like my whole genital area is inflammed and itchy. it looks like a heat rash or almost like a diaper rash. does anyone know what this could be? i don't think it's a yeast infection because i do not have any vaginal discharge although, about a week ago i had a lot, more than normal i mean. a week and a half ago is when i was sexually active for the first time. ahh, please someone help. thank you thank you so much.

Are you sure it's not a yeast infection? Inflamed and itchy could be a number of things, but I just got over a yeast infection and it was SOOOO itchy I thought I was going to keep over and the whole area gets read and inflamed. I've had more than my share of yeast infections (I used to be really prone) and never have the classic discharge that the always talk about, only the itching and inflammation an redness. The surface can definitley be rashy or splotchy, especially if you let if go too long and the yeast infection spreads to the whole external vaginal areal. I would look into this as an option.... do some research on the web or elsewhere and if you can, go get a swab test ar a free clinic or your gyno. They can tell pretty quickly if it's yeast, I think. If it's something else, herpes or otherwise, they can help you out with that as well.
