Hello.

I know, nice visual image, but this is a board full of unpleasant topics. What exactly do you define as impacted stool? Too hard to pass? Too big to pass? Also, any advice for those stubborn soft stools that break apart and get "pinched" causing burning :blob_fire , general discomfort and a feeling of incomplete evacuation? This happens to me quite frequently and I'm tired of it. Maybe some of you are too. :( Maybe it's somewhat normal and the burning could be specific to my own rear end. When everything is going smoothly I usually don't need to use any tissue but like I said, this is rare and I can't pinpoint any diteary triggers because I eat a very specific diet everyday thanks to IBS. Any help, lots of thanks.

Hello.

I'm on alot of meds that constipate but I still start out fine and end up soft in the end. Does anybody else get that burning feeling with a BM? I don't eat spicy foods.

Thanks for the advice Lynne. I bought the Metimucil today and hopefully it will work for me? I'm sick to the tattoo of these soft stools that get stuck and won't evacuate. It's like I'm constipated but the stool is not hard. Will the Metimucil help with this?

Hi,

The reason why you feel burning can also be due to raw inner lining in the anus or a fissure. If it persists seen a gastroenterologist. Many people who have hard stools end up breaking the skin at the mouth of the anus due to excessive straining. Try Psyullium husk it will help you greatly

Take care
