I had carpel tunnel syndrome to the point where I had to quit my job and stop using the computer. I began to take B6 (not alone but with other B vitamins) and with a wrist support, increased my Vitamin C (for circulation) and within six months it was gone and I avoided surgery.

I did that to but it didn't work, in fact the B6 seemed to exacerbate it and recent reports show that it does in some people. Glad it worked for you tho.

I heard people say that if nerve pains are "transient" in young people, there is a good chance of eventual full healing and recovery. My advice to people in similar situations is to stay away from the computer as much as possible for a year and if you can take time off from work, do so for relief.
Surgery is not something we should opt for if we can avoid it. Surgery makes you lose some wrist strengths permanently even if you get rid of the CTS symptoms from what i heard.
About B-6: don't take it in high doses. They also sell it in lower dosages. It helps when taken in low doses, but it causes nerve pain (neuropathy) if taken in high doses.

Hi CassV
That's encouraging news for others. What dosage of B6 did you take? I took 100mg per day but didn't find it made much difference to my hand/arm problems. What do you do jobwise now? Do you still use a computer?
