I feel a tingling feeling around the skin above my upper lip on occasion (rare). Does this mean I have herpes? I've never had an outbreak...nor have I ever come in contact with a sore or have I shared utencils w/somebody w/herpes (my best friend has it). Is it possible that there is some other cause for it?

Sure, tingling can mean many other things besides herpes--a pinched nerve, for example. If you have no reason at all to believe you've been exposed, I wouldn't worry about it. But if you are worried anyway, you can go get a blood test for herpes antibodies.
