Hi there,

I guess not. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif I know that lifting recliners have been paid for (Baxter got her insurance to pay for hers) and you can start the process by getting your doctor to write you a prescription for the adjustable bed...that is an ESSENTIAL first step--go from there. Hope that helps.

Wasn't sure about reg. health care, I know from my experience with worker's comp and auto accidents we can get beds paid for with doctor note and sometimes report, usually a fight. Mainly wondering if anyone has had any success with personal health care.

With my condition I can't imagine that I will be able to sleep in a bed unless its something like a craftmatic or hospital type bed until I can get disc replacement.

Going to check my BCBS booklet tomorrow at work and start process. Will keep all informed of my likely lack of success.

I don't know where you live, but I am in Medford Oregon and I just called a program called ACCESS and they gave me a hospital bed. We just had to pick it up,,no deposit, no charge as long as I need it.
