Hi my son had a few strokes in utero because of neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia. He lost about 66% of his brain to the strokes and is a little miracle since he recovered so well. Anyone else have this or had treatment to prevent it during pregnancy? I don't kno if this belongs in the preg boards or this board. I don't see a pregnancy comlication board so I figure it fits here best.
We were told originally my son would be profoundly disabled and probably pass away before his 1st birthday. My son had therapies since birth and will be 4 in Sept. He is currently in preschool and if you see him out in public you would never guess what he has been through. He is speech delayed (about 1 1/2 behind) and he does receive occupational therapy due to his fine motor skill issues :)
