Anyone had success with effexor xr? I'm on my 4th day. How long does it take to feel normal?

I'm not on Effexor..But most SSRI's take around 3-6 weeks to work.
I'm going on my 3rd week now on Celexa...and finally starting to feel better.
Hang in there..give them time to work.

Believe me..this is the best place to come.
It's hard to find people who understand this..but on this board we all know what it's like.Just remember that every day you get through ,..you are a day closer to being better.It will pass..I know it's hard..but it does get better :)

I appreciate your words of comfort. It is hard and unless you have gone through it it's hard to understand the horrible way you feel inside. I don't understand what happened it hit me so hard and has been a battle. I never dreamed I would end up at a psychiatrist but I did for the first time last week. I'm due to go back tomorrow. It causes so many physical symptoms to that lead to panic and thinking there has to be something physically wrong.
