Pink,

Your systolic blood pressure, (that is, the top number of 98) is low. Any systolic pressure below 100 is considered low.
Your bottom # is normal (80 or less). But as long as you feel well and have no symptoms of dizziness, fatigue, headache, fainting, or palpitations, I wouldn't worry about it at all! A lot of folks on this board would give their eye teeth to have #s like yours.

You have A PERFECT READING....you'll cross Zuzu's threshhold with one serving of RAMEN NOODLES (and all their salt.)

You may NEVER need this awful arsenal of drugs unless doctors soon start defining 90/70 as high blood pressure!....Never discount the effect of advertising from the medical profession!

There could be two people not taking drugs....and that's anathema- two is two too many!

Pink,

Zip, as usual, is right...and when I used the word "low" I should have indicated/added that your low is goooooood!

I too have low blood pressure...usually 90/60, my doctor said that was good to have low blood pressure, the only thing that it does is make us more sesitible to passing out and getting dizzy. She stated to drink plenty of gatorade in the summer time to balance out the electrolites in our system so that we don't pass out.

I have actually been having a problem with having headaches every day.. can't figure it out! Do you think this could be why? I'll go test my BP again tonight and then reply back to see if it's higher..

Today it was 118/60. So I think that is still good according to the numbers you guys gave me!

Pink,
You BP is gorgeous. I doubt if the headaches are related at all. Could be lack of sleep, dehydration, poor eating habits, TENSION...

Mostly, if your blood pressure is too low you get lightheaded.

Your #s are fine, so stop worrying!

My last blood pressure reading was 76/53 Im a tad worried. Just two months ago it was 96/58. And since then I have been getting dizzy, lightheaded, constant headaches and I am almost always tired. Im not sure if mines low enough to cause this though? anyone have any input? And if it is low, what can I do about it besides medications? I am well on my way to going back on a whole mix of other meds for other problems, I'd really like to attempt to fix whatever I can without prescriptions first.
