i have these small white bumps underneat my eyes and i dont know wat they are. i think they might come from putting makeup there. i use clinique concealer to cover dark circles under my eyes and these weird white bumps formed. i was thinking about going to a dermatologist but havent gotten around to it. does anyone have any idea what the bumps can be? any advice would be greately appreciated! :bouncing:

there is a couple of things it could be...it could be milia (whiteheads) from using heavy eye creams or putting ur regular moisturizer too far up. when you put on any kind of moisturizer, u shouldnt put it all the way up the eye, just around the bone underneath ur eye. the heat from your eyes will draw the moisture up. ur eye area does not have pores so it all becomes blocked. dont try to squeeze them though, it will damage the area.

it could also be a condition called xanthoma, this is abnormal blood fats or high cholest. the bumps may turn yellowish or be flesh colored. with this it has to be removed by a physician too.

so in other words i would see a derm bc u dont want to tear the delicate part of ur eye! hope this helped!

I had the same problem..it's from using oily creamy eye products. Try some that are oil free and you should see a big difference. I watched on the news once people who had these little bumps removed with a laser I think...I've been trying to find where to get it done. Has anyone else heard of that? :)

OMG!! MY SIS SAID EYE CONTOUR CREAM WAS AGAINST THOSE THINGS... Sigh! I've been using the eye cream only because of that! And to decrease the chance of getting early wrinkles. Sorry bout that. So what do I use on my eyes to prevent early wrinkles then? I have pretty dry skin. I hate my skin, it's dry, it's oily,... So if I used moistorizers it would be bad for the dryness, if I used anti-oil products it would get even dryer.... What the ..... am I going to do with this skin!!! Sorry, ...

u can still use an eye cream, just dont put it all the way up to the lower lashes. just put it on the bone underneath ur eye and the heat will draw the moisture to where it needs to be. plus only use ur ring finger to put eye cream on and do it by patting lightly. and use a very very small amount.

Sorry about bumping such an old thread! :) I was doing a search and ran into this. I also had small bumps under my eyes, I couldn't tell if they were pimples or what. One, I was terrified was a wart as it just kept getting bigger and bigger.

My problem was my eye cream. (well technically I wasn't using an eye cream, I was using my face anti-wrinkle cream on my under eye area).

I did a few internet searches and found a derm's website which recommended an under eye cream which might help with this problem (Nueva). It's expensive and you don't get very much of it, but then one only uses a tiny bit. The bumps under my eyes are gone now, so I'll keep using it. :) Though, I assume there are other non-oily creams that do the trick as well. (Now, just to do something about these under eye fine lines) ;)

I wasn't sure if this would be of use, but thought I'd write out my experience. :)

Milia or whiteheads are not caused by eye creams! My son and hubby have them and sure don't use any eye cream. LOL.

Hi. :)

Do you moisturize your face or put on sun block?

As I said above, it was my moisturizer which was causing the problem for me.

However, I'm sure everyone is different and I was only sharing what worked for me. *shrug*

(And, it's Neova, I keep mispelling)

In my opinion, continue using a good moisturizer (preferably rich in mineral oils), but don't go all the way up to the eye, just to the bone... If you MUST use something for the eyes, try to stick with serums, they are watery and get absorbed quicker by the skin. You say your skin is dry & oily, so I guess that your T-zone is oily and the rest is dry (that's a combination skin) so look for products for combination skin types and equalizers. When you go to purchase your products, please take the time to read what each contains. Most products on the market are basicly water with a few other stuff, but what we women need is nutrition! Also, a step that should not be overlooked, to prevent wrinkles, is sunblock, neber leave without it, even in winter!

Well I hope this helps... :)

Let us know how and what worked!

I also have tiny little bumps in my undereye area. However, they are teensy tiny, and they never get any larger. They are much smaller than the head of a pin (I couldn't think of anything else to compare them to, lol)

The teensy bumps are only at the underneath inner eye area of each eye.

I do use moisturizer, and I don't apply it way up underneath my eye area.

The tiny bumps are right above the undereye bone area, so I really don't understand what the person who posted (sorry, I can't remember who) said about only applying the moisturizer in that area and not up to the lower eyelid area.

These tiny bumps are not noticeable to anyone but me, lol.

Does my description describe the "bumps" the rest of you have, or are yours different?

-Robin
