Hello all,
I hope this message finds you all reasonably well. I am not suffering from schitzophrenia, however my finace is diagnosed as Bi Polar with Pshycoic Tendencies and Mild schitzophrenia(he hears auditory halucinations)
I have read several posts on here regarding close family members or even wives and girlfriends of people suffering with similar situations. I am so glad to have found a board to talk to people regarding my experiances.
Scott and I have been together for 5 years and are planing to get married next year. There is always a chance that he will go into a manic state, however he has pretty much controled it as best as possible. He has been unmedicated for 10 years now and has not had any suicide attempts in several years as well. He is mostly triggered ny stressful events.
I wonder if anyone else has similar experineces.
Last night he had, what the doctor's called a panic attack. My friend called the ambulance because I was to scared that he would be commited if i called. He has had a previous commital.
They released him the last night and now he is PISSED! He seems to be ok and went to work this morning, however I'm not sure we did the right thing. Everyone tells me that we did, but I keep feeling that I betrayed him by calling my friend.
All I know is that he scared the crap put of me last night and I didnt know what I could do to stop him from shaking so violently. That was my main concern from the start.
