Hey...
My father had a pinched nerve quite some time ago...and has been bothering him since. But the pain he is experiencing is much worse, and gets worse as time goes on. sometimes almost unbearable. i am so worried... and now today he comes home from work to tell me that the back of his neck feels numb. ?????? I don't understand what could potentially be wrong. I mean, sometimes he can't even move his neck it hurts so bad. and now all of a sudden today he is feeling numbness in the back of his neck? I was just curious if anyone might have an idea of why this is happening, or if this has happened to any of you. thanks!

It depends where the numbness in the back of the neck is as well. I've had to deal with neck pain, numbness and atrophy for 20 yrs and the numbness is about at the C6 and 7 area even tho C2 and 3 are herniated much worse. I also have DDD in all the discs in the neck and facet joint atrophy. He should see the Dr to make sure nothing more serious is going on like tumors and such since they to can cause numbness.
