my almost 6 yr old son was born with a pinsized hole on each ear.i noticed this and asked the dr what it was.he didnt give me a name but he said it was linked to hearing loss and or kidney problems.so he had hearing testing done and sure enough he was completely deaf in his left ear.his right ear was perfect, thank god.well there wasnt much we could do till he started talking.well it was obvious then.he screamed alot as a baby around alot of noise.he couldnt communicate but when he tried nobody could understand him.when he was about 2 1/2 he started speech therapy.at 3 yrs he got accepted to preschool and recieved theapy there too.he was in preschool for 2 yrs and now has a couple days of kg left.he has been discharged from outside therapy because of his amazing improvment in his talking.he still recieves it in school though.n-e ways the ear thing is called preauricular pits.also look up bor syndrome.it can be genetic, which my sons was not.and make sure u look into the kidneys also.my son has not had that done yet.its very important to look into if u know someone with these marks.thanx, nicole
