My mom was diagnosed last year with white matter disease. I can't seem to find anything definte on this Dx. The Dr. wanted to run additional test but my mom won't comply. She has emphysema so she figures she'll die of that first. She gets severe headaches that can only be quieted by demoral. Can anyone off any experience with this? :wave:

Has your mother had any strokes or tia's? What are the other tests the doctor has suggested? My husband also has a disease of the white matter called Cadasil, which was confirmed by a blood test along with the MRI results. I am not familiar with other diseases of the white matter, but I am now trying to find all I can on Cadasil. I hope you will keep me updated on anything you find out about your mother.
