Could anyone who experiences anal outbreaks please describe what they're like?
Itching, burning, open sores, bleeding of any sort - what exactly are the symptoms of an anal outbreak and how long do they generally last? I've read that they can resemble hemmorhoids, and are often misdiagnosed as such. I think I may be having an anal outbreak as I've had periods of intense itching, some burning, a little bid of bleeding over the past month.
I would greatly appreciate anyone's experiences with this! Thanks!

Mine never bleed. The symptoms are just like any other ob. Only the primary itched with me. Usually the site swells a little bit and feels irritated, then the tiny blisters develop, which are very sore, then after a day or so they open up into one sore that covers the area of all the tiny blisters, and then within 3 days they start to heal. After 2 or 3 more days, they are gone. I put garlic oil on them and so avoid much discomfort. (You can make garlic oil easily by cutting one section or clove of garlic into quarters, putting it in a small container, and covering it with olive oil. Cover with a lid and let sit a couple of hours. Then just dab it on with a q-tip. I use mine until the ob goes away, then discard it.) I also tend to wear a dress with nothing underneath the first few days (if possible.) The less that rubs down there, the better. I wash very gently.
Bleeding sounds more like hemmorhoids.

Well mine are kinda the same sometimes it feels like something is still back there ya know, and it might be a little sensitive when I am wipping. Some times it my bleed but only if it if a very difficult you-know -what.And mine just stay as the little bumps, then dissapear. But yes BP you hit it right on the head that garlic oil is da bomb. I am considering making mine a little stronger though by just adding a little less oil. It just seems as though sometimes when you get rid of it in one place it popps up in another place, like now I think that it is on my neck a little bit. But yeah try the garlic oil and see what comes of it...
Thanks for the responses!
I haven't actually seen any bumps/sores back there, but there has been itching, burning, and some blood when wiping sporadically for about the past month. I did see some pimply looking things on one of my butt-cheeks that lasted a couple days and then were gone, but other than that, there haven't been any visual marks. Does the fact that I've been having these symptoms for pretty much a month straight sound a little long for a herpes outbreak? Do herpes sores generally bleed when they are rubbed, such as in a process like wiping?

Really you should go to a dr whenever you have bleeding from your anus. It can be dangerous. Better to find out exactly why it happens. It does sound a little long-term.
