What is the best department store foundation for oily skin? I have tried Lancome's Teint Idole and also Maquicontrole, but after a few hours, my skin is oily. I use a toner for oily skin before applying the foundation. I have even tried a product called Clinac OC that you can buy over the counter from a pharmacist...the product helps absorb oil from your skin...but still the oilies appear a few hours later. I'm mostly oily on my T-zone.

Do any of you have this problem with finding the perfect foundation & products to control oily skin?

Bare Minerals is the only thing I've found to keep my skin from getting oily. I really love the stuff!

I agree - mineral makeup is the best. Personally, I don't care for Bare Minerals, but I do like Botany 101, Aromaleigh, & GeoGrafx. My skin has improved SO much since using minerals.

You also need to look at your skin care regime. If you use too harsh of a cleanser, it will strip your skin of oils, causing it to produce even more oil. Also, your moisturizer can make a big difference - I like to use jojoba oil - it balances oil production.

I've heard wonderfull things about Laura Mercier's Oil Free foundation. I'm actually waiting for that and the loose powder to arrive! Sometimes it's all the products on your skin that cause the oiliness. I haven't been wearing makeup lately since I've been waiting for my sunburn to heal. My oil slick T-zone hasn't been as oily (or maybe the sunburn fixed it hehe).
