Is it true that you should hold off from redying your hair as much as possible because of the strong chemicals that goes into your skin and it can also damage hair? :dizzy:

No, it's not true....my suspicions are that it was told to you so that you wouldn't do it...kind of like putting the fear into you.

But, people can abuse their hair through chemicals, bleaching, dyeing with high volume peroxide over and over and over the hair shaft.

Some people are allergic to some of the ingredients in hair colours.

Hennas (which are natural) can cause many allergic reactions and brittle hair. But again, there is the "human" factor.

It was suspect that dark coloured dyes contained pigment that was linked to cancer. I don't think they have that in them any more, and I don't know if it was ever proven.

If you're concerned about it, have your hair hilighted by using a cap or foiling.

Hope this helps somewhat,
quincy

Oh really.. cause my MOTHER told me that it gets into your pores and stuff and yeah I wanted to redye my hair too. Im asian so my hair is naturally dark, I wanna dye my hair lighter so that the color doesnt fade. I havent had my hair color done at a hair stylists, heard that doing the cap is painful (according to my dear mother) I doubt she'd let me do it.
