Who has tried this? I've seen the commercials and wanted to try it but it's so expensive I'm afraid to. I've tried everything to look natural when wearing makeup. Does anyone like this product? if so, some feedback would be appreciated. Is it worth ordering online? or should i shop for it on ebay? all the ones on ebay barely give any of the makeup for a more expensive price. like 1/4 teaspoon of the starter kit. anyways just wondering if it is worth ordering from the company itself or not. thanks. :)

Personally, I didn't care for Bare Escentuals - although I love mineral makeup. I do recommend buying samples, whichever line you decide to try.
The thing I didn't like the most about BE was the fact that it looked *shiny* on my skin - even when I used the Mineral Veil - which was supposed to help eliminate that. It's due to the shiny mica & bismuth oxychloride (which can also cause itching in some people) that they use. There are other lines that also use that, too. I also had a difficult time finding a good color match. I tried Youngblood, too - it wasn't as shiny as BE, but I still wasn't happy with it.
My favorite mineral makeups are made from matte mica & do not contain any bismuth. I like Botany 101, Aromaleigh, & GeoGrafx - although there are others that are also matte. All are available online & they also sell samples.
They are definitely worth the price - you use so much less of minerals than other makeup. A jar of Botany 101, Aromaleigh, or GeoGrafx will last almost a year for me.

I love BE. It covers great (scars, freckles, broken blood vessels, etc) and doesnt irritate my super sensitive skin. I get mine off the auction sites for cheaper and use a great big brush I got from a beauty store. I dont find it to be shiny, in fact I have used 2 jars of be to the one 1/4 jar of mineral veil. You cant feel/see it once its on - your skin just looks perfect and velvety. This lasts me thru humidity and winter without failing. The key is small amounts of product and lots of buff/blending. I dab it on the bad areas with a pinkie or small brush then go over the whole face. I wouldnt switch for anything. You may want to get a few samples to be sure of color then order a larger size. It lasts me almost 9 months with daily use.

Hi!
I agree with Blue on this one! Aromaleigh is the best for me. I tried BE but the problems I had weren't with shine, but with enlarged pores and dry, chalky patches. It was just horrible on me. But thanks to Blue, I purchased samples of the AL, and what a difference! So I eventually bought the full size products and I'm so glad I did. I don't have any problems with pores, dryness or shine. And I use their mattifying primer and finishing powder which are really nice too as long as you just use a tiny bit.
Also, AL's eyeshadows are incredible. I love them! Thanks again, Blue! Take care everyone! Linda :D

I never tried it but there are other quality mineral makeups out there for less money including Monave, Cory, and Geografx.

I love BE. I would never switch back to liquid. It really works well for me and the others I have made up with it (including a few wedding parties). I find it gives great coverage, is not expensive esp. since a jar lasts me 9 months or so with daily use, and is easy to use. I get mine from the auction sites for about 20 bucks for a big jar. You should get samples first to make sure you get the right color before ordering up a big jar. You dont need any primers, or to mix up anything at home, or other stuff, just a jar of the minerals and a good brush. I dont even use the mineral veil unless I am going out at night or its really really humid. I just dab it on with a small brush over the areas that need extra cover, then lightly go over my whole face with a big brush dipped in and tapped off. This is one of those products that I would not stray from, ever. It makes skin flawless looking, quickly and easily.

I'm right there with ya, Love this stuff! What I love the most is it doesn't feel like you are wearing any make up at all. There are NO rules you can mix and match and yes this stuff lasts a long, long time.
I started with a beginner kit came with two shades of light, warmth, mineral veil and three brushes. Since then I ordered their Body Loofa Oh My this stuff smells like Heaven and works great. I use it on my face too, I think I could bath in the stuff it's that wonderful.
I also got their brand new brushless mascarra which is real nice too.
I'm hooked for sure, love the quality the look the whole package :bouncing:
