i have these bumps on my penis. i let my derm look at it and he said they are sebacuous glands. he rubbed them and asked me if it hurt and it didn't. he told me its not herpes. but i think otherwise since i read seb glands come symmetrically. mine only comes on one side of my penis plus they are red.

10 days have passed and the pimples/bumps are still there. there are not exactly clustered although i see two pairs within the 10 small bumps i have. maybe its because they are too small, but i don't think they're filled with fluid. seems like a

so the question is: how long does it take for the bumps to pop? and are the bumps suppose to hurt before they pop?

if u don't know the answer, can i know what happens personally to u?

My h hurts a lot. I have also had sebaceous cysts, one which never seems to go away, and you can get them anywhere you have oil glands; it's true, they don't hurt; and they don't have to come symmetrically, or even in pairs, for that matter.

Mine break open after 2 days or so. Never even close to as long as yours.

thanks backpacker. ok, i'm starting to think i really don't have HSV-1. i'm bummed out. I don't think i got HIV as i only recieved unprtocted oral sex. i didn't see any cold sores from the women who gave me oral. i'm GUESSING the chances are pretty low for transmitting oral HSV-1 to genitals without symptoms. if it were the case, i guess the 80 of the population would give their partners HSV-1 after a few sessions of oral.

since they haven't popped for 13+ days counting, plus the fact that they are not clustered together and not hurt, i guess i can rest my case that i don't have herpes.

now, the problem is finding what i have. i talked to a derm. and he told me that my body will balance itself out. he told me i have balantis and that my body will fight the infection eventually. is this true? things are getting better, but its happening at a snail pace. i had penis redness when i masterbate for exactly a month now. although the area is getting less and the skin is going from dry/scaley to normal, there's still some redness.

should i get another opinion and take some antibiotics?
