I just wanted to hear some stories and advice from people with Genital Herpes. all the talk is about intercourse and safe sex and all this stuff that goes along with it, but unless i missed something there hasn't been a lot of talk about "outercourse" all the rest of the stuff you do or can do with your partner besides actual penetration. So you ladies and guys with partners enlighten will ya ???

I'm interested in hearing the chances and precautions taken with ONE partner with HSv2 and one without. So far i've avoided any kind of genital contact without a rubber, but i'm starting to wonder since i'm on supressive therapy if it'd be okay for my girlfriend or partner whoever that may be at a given time LOL to pretty much do anything she wanted, beyond penetration and NOT catch this from me. If i'm not mistsaken, since the skin is so thick on the hands it'd be okay for her to touch me down there or even spooning with nothing on, groping, fondling, kissing, etc...basically anything you could do beyond penetration besides oral sex. as long as she didn't touch me and then say touch herself down there, it'd be cool right ???

tell me what ya know lol....cause even my doc and the nurse never mentioned outercourse, just the enter one lol

Well, serial, my soulmate and I have always done it all, just never when I had any type of symptom--you know the way. When I do have any type of symptom, though, I don't allow him to touch me anywhere near my crotch. I still do oral/manual (boy, does that sound stupid!) to him, though.

You might like to know that, even though I caught genital herpes genitally from my ex, I never got it anywhere else (like my lips or hands) even though I used to do all that stuff to him, too; and I never even thought of washing up after, etc, back then. We were together a total of about 9 1/2 years and were sexually active the whole time.

Thanks for the info BP. I was just looking for some info or evidence of some kind. I'm moving and probably won't ever see my X again and i have it and she doesn't and were planning on going out with the bang of the century lol and wanted to know what we could and couldn't do. i wouldn't want to leave her with H as a going away present.
and i think she was worried about catching it on her hands or mouth or anywhere else that might have come into contact with that region on my body. So only 1 out of 87 people have info about getting H anywhere else on the body besides the mouth an pubic areas ????

Yeah, I think if you're not having an outbreak and you don't feel like one's coming on, you're pretty safe going bareback for anything EXCEPT penetration. Like you said, you want her to remember you forever, but in a GOOD way.
