Hi
We have a 10 year old girl who is constantly tired. She goes to bed everynight at 9 for school, awakes at 630-640 am for school, doesn't have fevers, or any other medical symptoms but is constantly tired. She won't go to bed and sleep kind of tired, but VERY low energy, yawning all the time type of thing. My wife says she is going through hormonal changes as she is mature for her age. Can that be it? Should we be looking more into her diet? Her appetite is fine, just hard to get her to eat proper amount of fiber and non carb type foods. Is this just a phase possibly? She has fairly regular bowel movements. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

Try a multi vitamin, wait a few weeks and see if that helps. If it doesn't than i would take her to the doctors just to make sure everything is ok. It may be a normal part of growing up for her, but being tired all of the time isn't a normal part of being 10 as far as i remember. It's best to get these things checked because being tired with no apparent reason can be signs of other things besides just growing up and being hormonal.

Thanks for your reply. She has been taking a muti vitamin for years now. Time for a doctors appointment for sure.
