The last time I saw her she had me do a 24hr UFC, and the results of that had come back. It was 38.2 range of 21-143. Also, my andrenal antibodies were high, as I said before, at 1:32, normal is anything less than 1:4.

At this appt she wanted to do a WHOLE BUNCH more bloodwork, I swear she drew half of my blood volume. She also did another ACTH Stim test. The first doctor's office that I had it done at, the ACTH shot HURT SOOOOOO BAD, so of course my anxiety kicked in and I had a panic attack and started bawling when they were about to give me the shot. They must have been into torture at the last place, b/c the nurse at my new doctors office is a champ. I didn't even feel it AT ALL. I was so relieved, but felt rather foolish for being such a baby. My doctor said I need some counseling for my anxiety...hehe. :o

Well, today the nurse called and they had already gotten the results of my stim test (my test was just 2 days ago) and the results were pretty interesting. Remember how my last doctor said that there was NO way I could possibly have Addison's Disease or adrenal failure so he was NOT going to investigate it further, and how my new doctor on my first visit with her found the andrenal antibodies? Well guess what...I failed my stim test. My baseline was 10.4, 30 min was 14.2, and 60 min was 13.7!!!

FINALLY someone found something!! I'm so relieved. Not that I'm happy to have Addison's Disease, but I'm relieved to know something, and not think that I actually AM going crazy. My wonderful doctor is immediately calling in Prednisone and Florinef. I have to do another 24hr UFC, I'm also going in for a CT of my adrenals, and I'm supposed to go in this Friday or next Monday for lab work, then on the 22nd I go back in (so the labwork has time to come back) and visit with her again.

I just want to call up my last doctor and YELL at him!! I got a copy of all his reports that they sent to my new doctor...the nurse didn't want to sort through them and pick out just the labs, so she copied EVERYTHING...OMIGOD. He is such an A**!!!! He stopped short of calling me a complete idiot. I don't think his reports were EVER meant for my eyes. It's horrible some of the things he said in his notes, especially the ones he wrote and sent to my regular doctor!!! No wonder she thinks I'm a quack!! I was LIVID while I was reading everything, and my DH told me I shouldn't worry about it, forget about it. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Anyway...just thought I'd give you the good news, if you can even call it that!! HEHE!!
