my baby girl needs to be straight catheterd every four hours (straight catherterd-take pee out of bladder with a little tube) we need to do this because she has a neurogenic bladder she keeps the pee in but when we cathetered las night we go some thick mucous from there they were white do you think she has an infection? or could it just be discharge or is she too small she's 2 years old she's 3 in january. thanks for listening.

Get it checked. Your bladder should not have anything but urine coming out of it!

Never to young to get an infection especially if she has to be catheterized frequently since no matter how clean the catheter is it can still carry germs. My son had a bladder infection at 18 months , 6 months after surgery to create his urethra ( I have said before I have a lot of med experience from my kids, can you tell) that he was born without. Definely get this checked out it caused him more problems and the surgery had to be repeated.
