Do any of you find that your legs or feet fall asleep more often? Like when I am sitting here at the computer especially my legs always fall asleep. Just curious if it could be because of the fibro. Thanks.

I don't know if it has anything to do woth it but not only do they fall asleep faster but they get cold and we all know when they get cold they hurt. So I have to put my feet up (usually on the pc) When I anm sitting down.

Mine fall asleep alot.
At work, at home.
Putting them up helps me too.

My legs and feet fall asleep often also, my arms do if I lean on them or during the night I wake up sleeping on them. I have already woke up and it felt like my arm was missing, had to turn the light on to find the arm with the other one as I could not feel it and shake it until it was back to normal.

DITTO, DITTO, DITTO! My leg will also fall asleep if I'm standing and don't change position fast enough. It's so annoying. It's part of what makes sleeping hard because I get uncomfortable., can't get comfortable is more like it. Mine started after a bad epidural but maybe that had nothing to do with it. Who knows?

I do worry sometimes that it will go dead and stay that way though. I've had experiences with it where one leg or arm would stay numb for days. Nothing I did seemed to matter accept finally after enough rest I would start to feel again. It's almost like a temporary paralysis when it gets that bad.

My PCP told me to try taking OS-CAL 500mg 2x a day for twitching. Don't know if anyone else here expiriences twitching and little muscle jerks like me, but I'll post it if I feel it helps. I took Amitriptyline for a couple of months and my girlfriend said my Restless legs during sleep were much "quieter". It's supposed to help induce 'stage 4' sleep or Delta sleep or something like that. It worked but gave me terrible morning headaches. Not everyone gets those headaches so I would suggest talking to your doctor about it. Matt S.
