The way that cancer is usually detected when spreading from lymph nodes is by either biopsy or by Pet Scanning. A Pet Scan can identify a mass or tumor in an area where suspicion is already present. AM eeg emg or nerve conduction test would merely identify what was going on if a mass or infection was hindering nerve conductivity. The test by itself would not indicate what was causing it, merely that intereference was occurring. So, to answer your original question, EEG merely detects electrical activity or lack of it. The other tests such as MRI, PET SCAN, or SPinal tap must be done to identify cause.
