View Full Version : Unusual bumbs on my daughters legs

My four year old has severe exama it gets so bad that it looks like huge open scabs and they bleed, of course she is on a high dose of steriod cream but in Colorado it never fully goes away, way to dry here.

Anyway a few weeks ago she started getting these little red bumbs on the top of her thighs I tried putting her cream on them to see if that helped but it didnt and she always complains about it hurting her when I touch them. I am starting to get concerned that they arent clearing up.
Does anyone know what this could be I thought it could be a heat rash but its a little different from that.
Thanks for any help

my daughter also has excema, but I've never heard of bumps like that? Maybe take her in and get her looked at, preferrably by a dermatologist if possible!

Do the bumps itch?

I highly recommend Eucerin lotion for eczema in addition to steroid creams. I use Eucerin every night and it's helped a little. It's not scented and it's dermatologist recommended. I suggest you go and get some.

swimfast989,
I love Eucerin I have used on both of my children since they were born instead of baby lotion. It works very well on the areas that arent bad and of course her face.

Usedtobefrosty I think your right I am going to take to in to be seen.
Thanks

my 4 month old has moderate to severe eczema and we bathe him with cetaphil plus use the cetaphil lotion. He is also on a antihistamine for the itching. We use 2 different steriod creams one for his face the other for the rest of the body it works great for us. Unfortunately when we stop using it his face flares up again. I guess ask her doctor about the bumps that hurt. Did she have eczema as a baby?
