dues anyone have trouble swallowing when their eustachian tubes swell up or do they get a buzzy feeling that goes through their ears ibto their throat and chest today i was cleaning my teeth and i went to swallow and i couldnt...then my ears started ringing and now the right one feels full and muffled and im so scared of it happening ahain

Yup, it's happened to me 2, bad enough that I couldn't swallow liquids. My throat is very prone to swelling up completely shut~ and it has a couple times now. Any kind of throat infection goes overboard b/c of my ETD. Are you on a nasal steroid spray? You should be if you are having that problem. Also, Sudafed Severe Congestion(tiny pill, should be easy to get down! =) ), works like a charm.. usually it's all I need to combat the swelling. Do you have allergies? Allergies can cause ETD.. take an antihistamine if that's the case. If you have tried all this & still no relief, see your doctor, you may need a prednisone(oral steroid) burst to get things under control. Good luck
