My mother is 79 years old and has several Vaginal
area problems. She has a Bartholin's Gland Cyst and
a Urethral Caruncle. The GYN put her on HRT and a
vaginal estrogen tablet, which she has been taking
for about 3 years now. She says both of these problems
are hurting her terribly bad. She has a hard time sitting,
clothes are uncomfortable, and a hard time walking.
The GYN says that is the only thing she can do for
these problems. Does anyone out there have any good
web sites on either of these problems? If anyone can
suggest anything that would help her, please respond.
I am in menopause and had breast cancer a year 1/2 ago.
Because of the breast cancer they tell me I can't use
any kind of Estrogen replacement. Seeing her problems,
and the problems that I am now having really scares
me. I'm worried about her and not feeling very good
about getting old myself and seeing all of the problems that
lack of Estrogen can cause a woman.
