Hello everyone.
I have had this rash on the inner thighs for the past six months. It's not all the way up the thigh, about inches down. To describe it Little red bumps that form connected clusters (raised blotches) During the most infected times when the rash is bigger it seems circular in design..kinda clear in the middle almost like a ring.
At first I started buying tinactin but that did nothing. I went to the doctor once. The guy without even looking at it first said it was a fungal infection then upon examining it said "Looks different than I expected, but I still think it's a fungal infection" He was an arrogant, and seemed almost mocking in attitude so I won't go back to him. But he gave me a prescription to some antifungal medication. I used it as directed till it ran out. Yet I still have it months later. I have been using lamisil and Lotrim regular and ULTRA versions yet no good. Hell this morning I put some ultra on and few hours later it was itching horribly and seemed worse. It also seems to switch sides...while one this is active the other lays dormant..when it goes away the other acts up...
I'm at a loss, I can't stand having this no more. I'm only 22 years old and am not sexually active...as long as I have this rash no woman in her right mind would want to be with me for fear of it being something STD related.

Melchiah, do the rashes resemble a bullseye? If so, it may be Lyme disease which is caused from the bite of an infected tick. A bullseye rash is a definite sign of Lyme; however, there are many types of Lyme rashes and not everyone who has Lyme gets a rash.
You may want to consider this as a possibility and do some research.

I had invited my nephew to stay with us for a while. He came with a rash....about 2-3 months later we all had a rash. Started on the inner thighs....very itchy at night. Really didn't see much of a rash till you started scratching it. After a few doctors telling us that it was a fungle infection or allergy to laundry detergent....we finally found out it was scabies. Tiny mites that live under your skin. Sounds identical to what your talking about. We were itching for months before we found out what it was. Does anyone else in your family or close to you have this itching? Its very contagious.
