Thanks to Concerta and extra time on tests, I just finished my degree in physics. So now I'm looking for a job & I accidentally sent a resume & cover letter to NASA with Lockheed's name on it! I reread it over & over & over before I sent it & still missed it. How do I stop being so dumb? I supposedly have a 160 IQ & yet I'm always doing something stupid! Grrrrr!

LOL. They'll probably get a laugh about it also and not think twice.

Congradulations, physics is probably the hardest major in any university in my opinion.

your not dumb, I was diagnosed with adhd as a kid, which is unsual for them to diagnose girls, I did have the hyperactive along with add, and from what I read in some articles latly, that is not common, I was called a tomboy too as if that was a bad thing.

I thought I was just lazy or something, I did not know that going from one project to another without finishing them is ADD related or daydreaming even when I am involved with something I find interesting, maybe mental fatigue? how about forgetting to do something or turn something off when you are intent on doing it only to refocus almost without realizing it until you realize later did I turn off the water? did i put this or that away I knew i was walking right over to it in a second or two and yet I drifted off that fast.

and I have done that look over something several times to find mistakes etc, and missed them so you are not alone, and no one is dumb just because they don't measure up to what society says you should.

welcome to my life, lol!

When I applied to grad schools, I did that mistake with 2 schools, and when I was applying for jobs I did that an obscene amount of time. You can't beat yourself up on it, even though it is natural. Just accept that this wasn't meant to be, and assume that there is something astounding around the corner waiting for you!

Good luck!!
