How is everyone doing? As for myself I found much realief with the new adjusted mouth guard. I havn't felt this great in MONTHS my tooth pain is very minimal no headaches, my ear FINALLY popped a few days ago and the suicidal pressure is GONE!! :bouncing: I even went out and got my hair done. My jaw no longer hurts but I am still on a soft food diet. my ear pian is still there but it comes and goes and is mostly gone. yesterday I had NO ear pain all day, this morning just a little I am not taking any pain medicine anymore, but am still on the muscle relaxer. I go back to specialist on tue afternoon for a full eval, so we'll see where we go from here. right now I'm just happy I'm at a coping stage, hopefully it will last and continue to improve.

Thanks all for your advice, and support. no one knows how misserable this TMJ thing is until they go through it!

Heidi, I really hope you get some relief SOON!! Hugs!!

What are you going to school for? I'm an Early childhood elementary major and only have like a year and a half to go. I PRAY by september I am feeling good enough to go back to school, I really don't want to miss a semester, but will probably only take two classes.

Raquel, I am really happy for you! :) That is pretty much what happened with me with the orthotic...after a miserable semester of teaching high school, I finally settled down to a coping stage just in time to help them review for the state test and final. It wasn't teaching that was miserable, they were the high-light of my day, it was that I felt so awful and didn't feel like I was helping them as much as I could and was having to miss for doctors appointments and such. Cutting back on your schedule probably isn't a bad idea, just to get used to school and not get too stressed out. Seems like I was in school forever, but that's because I changed majors...I'm so glad I did! Teaching is awesome...a lot of work, but awesome. Enjoy your summer! My summer classes are over now, so my summer is starting now! Dana

Raquel,
I am sooooo happy for you!! This too is how it was for me. If the appliance fits it is a miracle cure, isn't it? I am glad you had quick success like that. Keep on the soft food diet and take it slow and easy!
